WikiHousing on betevé: a behind-the-scenes look

On February 27, 2025, journalist Lausa Siles and camera operator Gisela Uclés from Barcelona’s betevé visited our workshop to learn more about the WikiHousing Barcelona project.

Their aim was to explore how this model for affordable, modular, and sustainable housing works. During their visit, Óscar Osuna and David Juárez shared insights into the building system and the collaborative process behind it, which is based on prefabricated timber and open-source principles.

The report, published under the title «Entrem als habitatges del futur: aixecats en un mes a partir de mòduls prefabricats de fusta», offers a clear view of WikiHousing’s potential to deliver housing in a faster, greener, and more participatory way.
