Etxean: a live podcast on housing and youth

On June 27, we participated in the live podcast Etxean, held with a public audience, took place inside the Kabian prototype, as part of UrbanbatFest 2025, transforming the space into a platform for dialogue and shared reflection.

The episode featured key voices from the Kabian ecosystem and the broader social and urban context of Bilbao:

Almudena Quintanilla, from the Peñascal Cooperative, spoke about vocational training courses for people at risk of social exclusion.
Clara Ribaudo, from the Straddle3 team, and Arrate Presilla (aka Señora Mayor, from Urbanbat), shared the goals and specific aspects of the Kabian project.
Ale González, from the Tejido cooperative, talked about smart home technology applied to communities.
Iratxe Uriarte, from the Basque Youth Council, discussed the housing situation for young people in Euskadi.
The entire session was accompanied by live music from Iker Munduate, adding rhythm and emotional depth to the gathering.

Etxean at Kabian was a moment of collective listening, in a space shaped by the voices that inhabit it.
