| For us, it all began around the turn of the twenty-first century, when a series of social and cultural venues that operated on the fringes of official mainstream culture in Barcelona were pulled down or forced to close, one after another, even though it was widely recognised that many of them where generating the conditions required to develop new forms of creativity, often based on a DIY spirit. These included the CSOA Les Naus squatted social centre, where the first Spanish Hackmeeting was held and the first node of the Indymedia network in Spain was incubated, and the Atelier de l'Art de Vivre, a hub for rave culture and the most adventurous side of the performing arts. Submarino in Poblenou, Hamsa in Sants, and Banana Factory in the Born area suffered a similar fate, heading a dismal list that grew to include projects like La Makabra circus school and the arts and trades workshops at Can Ricart.
Alongside these closures, a series of initiatives based on new formats for reclaiming public space began to crop up, including two that are particularly pertinent here: firstly, the urban Install Parties in which groups of hackers would invite local residents to install Linux on their computers in an educational and festive atmosphere, and secondly the Reclaim the Street sessions, a heady mix of party and political demonstration in the city centre that was undeniable proof of the vitality of the rave movement at the time. These events attempted to generate new perceptions of public space based on a range of influences: from Situationist practices to urban mobility alternatives. Both of these were extensions of the centres of creativity that were threatened with closure at the time, and show the many proactive responses to threats of eviction.

S'aixeca també el cadāver del Caminal certifica la seva mort el 22@ . s'aixeca també el cadāver del Niu certifica 22@ , S'aixeca els cadāvers de l'espai de Frank i Zvonimir, del Circ, del Rob, del Jordi, dela Montse, de "la escocesa" el 22@ el informa que tots tenen indicis de violčncia i algunes irregularitats en els trāmits, irregularitats que han acabat amb tracte formal en quests últims. I identificats els cadāvers esmentats, pels testimonis Paul Daly, Juan- FranciscoSegura i Martínez Mercč Gost, Javi Cera, Ricard Cassabayķ entre d'altres que s'aniran identificant.
